Travel
Counter-clockwise. Off the frontstretch into turn 1
This is the Race Day Control view, with the stripe at the bottom. On the ground, that bottom edge is north: pits, garages, victory lane, and the care center. The backstretch at the top of the picture is south. Turns 1 and 2 are the west end. Turns 3 and 4 are the east end. Off turn 4 there is a chute, the tri-oval, then a chute into turn 1.
Frontstretch
The stands follow the wall
The front grandstand holds the same setback all the way around the tri-oval, and the whole cross-section rises with the wall. Fans climb the ramp towers to the concourse, then walk down the aisles. Every third aisle is a wide main aisle with a center rail.
Upper deck
Lower section, upper section
The upper section sits above the lower section. The press box runs the roof and is not public seating. The backstretch grandstand is its own building, with a lower deck and an upper deck, and the equipment gate just past its east end.
Outside the wall
Catch fence and flag stand
Round poles and horizontal cables run the outside wall. The flag stand is at the start/finish: green, yellow, and red, read left to right. The scoring pylon shows the lap and the first fifteen running.
Infield
Pits, grass, and victory lane
Pit road follows the front. Painted marks for Gripmax, High Test, Pit Lane Bar, and Spicy Chicken sit on the grass between the tri-oval and the pits. Victory lane is its own stage when the checkers fall.
